Rotterdam, 21 July, 2022 – Kadans Science Partner welcomes the expansion of Viroclinics-DDL in the Rotterdam Science Tower. Viroclinics-DDL is further expanding its presence in the innovative tower with a new laboratory and office space.
Viroclinics-DDL is already a familiar name in the Rotterdam Science Tower and was already present when Kadans Science Partner bought the building in 2021. Viroclinics-DDL is now expanding with an additional approximately 3,000 m2 on the 16th and 17th floors of the tower. Viroclinics-DDL is a leading diagnostic and clinical laboratory supporting clinical and pre-clinical studies for the development of drugs and vaccines to prevent and treat viral infections. By providing the biopharmaceutical industry with advanced diagnostics and various services and advice, Viroclinics-DDL helps improve human and animal health. Earlier this year, Viroclinics-DDL was acquired by Cerba Healthcare/Cerba Research, further expanding their diagnostic solutions for clinical research.
“The expansion is in line with our strong growth strategy. With the additional laboratory and office space, we are even better positioned to support pharma and biotech customers with their future anti-viral and preventive strategies. Our ultimate goal is to facilitate the development of a wide range of drugs against human diseases. We look forward to occupying the 16th and 17th floors soon.”

The Rotterdam Science Tower has become an international landing place for innovation and entrepreneurship in recent years. The strong mix of tenants present ensures plenty of knowledge, innovation and R&D opportunities. In order to prepare the building for the future, several floors are currently being completely renovated. After the renovation, the building will have energy label A and its own CHP system. Previously, the ground floor was renovated, turning it into a central meeting place with an extensive restaurant. This is where tenants meet, knowledge is exchanged and collaborations are established.
The Rotterdam Science Tower is also part of Kadans’ international network, which already connects 24 campuses and science parks in Europe. Rotterdam Science Tower currently still has space available for organisations that would like to be part of this network.
